Have you ever been to Singapore before?
If you are a Muslim just like me. You must know that it is not easy to find Halal food in Singapore. Agree? =)
What I know, we, as a Muslim can find Halal food near the Arab Street whereby the Sultan Mosque as a landmark. At Arab Street, you can find most of the middle eastern restaurants, textile and fabric shops. There is a pedestrian mall called " Bussorah Pedestrian Mall".

When you saw the Sultan Mosque, you can try the famous restaurant across the road from the mosque is the Zam Zam Restaurant. Zam Zam restaurant signature menu is the Murtabak Singapore.
Here I wanted to share one restaurant that I ate during my visit to Singapore. I've never tried and heard of this restaurant before. We found out about this restaurant from our Uber driver when we came back from our visit to Garden by The Bay. He eagerly suggested us to tried Nasi Ambeng at the Busorrah Pedestrian Mall near Arab Street. Actually, the driver only told us about the delicious Nasi Ambeng. But, he did not mention the name of the restaurant.
When we arrived at Arab Street, we saw this one restaurant name " PADI @ BUSSORAH ". In front of this restaurant, there is a menu and I saw "Nasi Ambeng". I told my Mum and husband, I think this is the restaurant that the Uber driver told us to tried.
Without hesitating, we entered the restaurant because we are starving. We ordered, Nasi Ambeng for two people and Satay.
When the food arrived at our table. I totally forgot to even snap a picture of that Nasi Ambeng because we are starving. After my first bite, the taste of Nasi Ambeng at PADI is totally delicious. Yummylicious. Awesome. No words can describe the delicious of the food. The taste is complete with all of the ingredients. As for the satay , the taste just so-so.
Nasi Ambeng is the Javanese food whereby we eat together around 4 to 5 peoples in a tray.
Nasi Ambeng at PADI restaurant consists steam white rice, beef rendang or chicken masak lemak cili padi, sambal squid, stir-fry long beans with tofu and Tempe, potato cutlet, mixed vegetables tossed with grated coconut, fried peppery beef lung, salted fish, fried coconut flakes and sambal belacan of course.
What I am impressed the most with all the dishes in the tray is the taste of sambal squid. I never taste that kind of sambal in Singapore before. The sambal tastes totally a Malaysian sambal. Even in Kampung Glam restaurant, the sambal taste is dull.

When I paid the food, the cashier asked me, " How was the food, Miss ? ". I gave him a thumbs up and told him that "terbaik ( really good ), sedap ( totally delicious)". I told him the best is the sambal squid that tastes totally like Malaysian. I asked him, is it the owner a Javanese. He told me, he did not know either the owner is Javanese or not. But, the owner is from Johor.
See told ya, Malaysian food is the best. The cashier just smiles and asked, " Are you a Malaysian ?." I answered, " Of course ". Hihihi.
